We offer an alternative service to the traditional recruitment agencies by utilising experienced Quantity Surveyors who are familiar with the job and able to both understand a clients needs and a candidates ability and suitability for a role.
Our recruitment process works as follows:
Definition – We work with you to develop the ideal profile of the types of employee you are looking for. We can use our database of role profiles to help you develop the ideal vacancy description. This will include academic qualifications and experience but also an understanding of what you are looking for in terms of the character and emotional intelligence.
Search – We will leverage our relationships within the industry to identify any suitable candidates that may be looking for a new role. we will also draw on our database of Quantity Surveyors registered with HHL to identify any potentially suitable candidates.
Screening – We will filter the applications received for the role against the criteria established during the definition stage to shortlist the most suitable candidates
Assessment – We will engage with the shortlisted candidates to undertake initial assessments against the key criteria to ensure suitability for the role. This may include both online and in-person assessments.
Testing – Where applicable, we will undertake tests on the applicants to evaluate technical understanding of the role. This will be typically be in the form short interview assessment undertaken by a qualified Quantity Surveyor.
Referencing – We will undertake adequate referencing including telephone discussions with any character/professional references provided by the candidate.
Interview – We will present the best talent to you for final interview. We can either lead that to you entirely or else we can facilitate or even lead the interview if preferred.
